If it's not a poodle, it's just a dog!
If it's not a spoopie, it's just a puppy!

Our Story

In the summer of 2007, we began fostering two wonderful standard poodles, Prince and Duchess.  2 weeks after they arrived, Duchess had a litter of 5 puppies.  Her owner didn't want to spay her and because we thought the foster situation was temporary, we went along with that.  However, we still have both dogs and, of course, a new litter of 9 puppies.

We wanted to keep all of the puppies from the first litter, but because we already had our own dogs, we could only keep one.  See our photos page for pictures of Jazz, her littermates, and the entire menagerie.

Even though these puppies will not be registered, both parents are AKC registered and bred from championship lines. Both parents are highly intelligent and have charming and sweet temperaments.

Because these are pet or companion puppies, they will only be sold on spay/neuter contracts.  This means that the puppy must be spayed or neutered as soon as he or she receives veterinary clearance.  The reason for this is that any puppy sold as a pet should not be bred. This is simply for the improvement and maintenance of the breeding line for Standard Poodles.  Breeders have striven for years to select and perfect the conformation of Standard Poodles.  These puppies are the result of an 'unauthorized' mating and we do not want to contribute to the continued unauthorized or unwise breeding of Standard Poodles.

Our puppies (spoopies) are particularly well-socialized.  They are raised in our home, with our children and other dogs (labrador retrievers & a corgi mix).  Each puppy is treated with love and respect, getting lots of one-on-one attention, hugs and kisses.  By the time our puppies go to their new homes, each will know how to sit as well as how to use the dog door.  Each will be used to wearing a collar and will be well on his or her way to being house trained.  See our Super Puppy page for early training information.

Grooming is an important consideration for anyone who is considering owning a poodle.  We begin grooming our puppies between 3 and 4 weeks of age so that they will be used to regular grooming when they go to their new families.

All puppies will be vet-checked, microchipped and will have had at least the first series of vaccinations and wormings by 8 weeks of age.  No puppy will be available to leave the nest before the age of 8 weeks.

We are located in southern Los Angeles county, near the border with Orange County.

If you are interested in adopting one (or more!) of these wonderful companions into your family, please visit our Contact page where you can request an application.

Note on tail docking:  We do not support this unnecessary cosmetic surgery and each of our puppies sports a natural, or European tail. Please see our photos section for pictures of natural poodle tails!
